Meet Julie!
I got an early cooking education at home, my grandmother’s kitchen and at O’Shea’s, the family owned restaurant on Marco Island, Florida. From years of active kitchen participation, I learned how to blend my mom’s quick health conscious meals and my grandmother’s authentic Italian cooking with food business efficiency. I combined these ingredients with what I considered the best episodes from the Food Network channel into the vast bowl of trial and error experience.
While completing a finance degree at Auburn University, I was surprised how few students really knew much about cooking. My goal in writing this book was to create an exciting guide for students, who need to eat healthy, who are on limited budgets and want to create great tasting food as quickly as possible. The recipes will give you, your roommates, and friends value-based tasty meals that are fun and easy to make. Food and finance go together more than ever!
